Three Easy {Event + Social Media} Mistakes and How We Can Help

In our last post, the CEDA team shared the importance of trying new things and pivoting if they don’t work as well as we imagined. We 100% agree.

We’ve also learned a couple things in our experience and are here to help you so you can avoid the future pivot by learning from our mistakes.

The three mistakes a social media manager can make and how we can help

Mistake #1: A Lack of Planning Ahead

Does this sound familiar? We hope so. We know we sound repetitive but we don’t want social media to be your biggest stress point. Use our free downloadable to get you started. Or give us a call. We have your back, Jack!

Mistake #2: Doing It Alone

Social media is all about connections and meant to be social (surprise?) It can be overwhelming to come up with creative ways to connect and be sure you are aligning your event social media with your business goals.

Be sure to brainstorm with someone else and ask, “will this work?” “Does this make sense?”
We would love to be that person for you. Bounce your goals and ideas off us and we can help you think outside the box, connect you with relevant tools and platforms. Or let us join your team for the day. You have 509,987.5 things to think about so outsource the social media to us. We will wear your shirts, nail your key messages, and help you shout your message from the social media rooftops.

One (hundred) less thing to think about!

Mistake #3: Thinking INSIDE The Box

Planning an event, running a Fieldays site, or running a booth should have an element of memorable, educational fun for you and your attendees. There is so much potential to align your goals with something unique and outside the box.

For example, at the 2018 Grand Final for the FMG Young Farmer of the Year the team created a Snapchat filter for particular geolocations in Invercargill where they knew people would be using the platform. A perfect way to gain feedback, engagement, and imagery you wouldn’t otherwise be able to capture. This comes back to knowing your audience.

(psssst watch this space in April as we will have tools and offers available for you to take your event + social media to the next level!)

Finally, your biggest mistake may just be missing out on taking advantage of our March offer. $47 for a fast paced, 30 minute session with Chelsea to overcome the pain point of your social media plan.

Our goal in this time is to help you draw people to your event, captivate them, and build feelings of nostalgia after — with tips and tricks catered to your event goals.
