Introducing Twitter Moments
"Moments are curated stories showcasing the very best of what’s happening on Twitter. Our Moments guide is customized to show you current topics that are popular or relevant, so you can discover what is unfolding on Twitter in an instant."
When Twitter Moments was released in October last year, it was to help Twitter users keep up with what the world is talking about at any given time without having to follow loads of new people or watch trending topics closely.
Twitter and selected partners able to gather and store stories on a range of topics, including News, Sports, and Entertainment. Then, in August 2016, Twitter opened Moments up to a broader group of influencers and creators, before beginning the public roll-out of the feature on September 28th 2016.
It provides brands with a great opportunity to seamlessly integrate into how real-time culture is being consumed today.
So, now you can create your own!
To create your own,
1. Click on the 'Moments' tab as shown above.
2. "Create new moment" on the right hand column
3. Add a title, description, and cover image. Twitter recommends keeping your title short, but descriptive and says your description should give users “a taste of what to expect in your Moment.”
4. Content + Publish.
There are a variety of ways you can add tweets to your moment.
- You can choose from tweets you’ve liked (or favourited)
- Pick tweets from specific accounts
- Find tweets via a Twitter search
- Add tweets directly using the tweet’s link.
#TakeATip - Twitter’s recommendation is to keep Moments around 10 tweets long. And the company also advises to include a mix of photos, videos, GIFs and Vines to keep your viewers engaged.

Messenger Lite is a slimmed down version of Messenger for Android to help people with low levels of connectivity. It offers the core features of Facebook Messengers but allows good function for slow internet speeds.
If you've experienced what I have, and the horrendous state of rural connectivity - this really may be viable and useful function for NZ smart phones! - Especially in the back and beyond. It's also only 10MB to allow for low phone storage ;levels.
It's not yet available in NZ and is first rolling out in Kenya, Tunisia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Venezuela
#funfact - Did you know over one billion people use messenger, world wide, each month!?
Facebook has changed their image dimensions (again) and we have found a super handy guide to ensure you get the most bang for your buck.
